#SundayStills – Distances are just #Numbers, right?

I don’t know what’s been wrong with me lately. I’ve been feeling tired all the time. When I slept, I slept like the dead. Worst of all, I haven’t been wanting to go anywhere. Shocker, because just a few months ago, all I wanted was to go somewhere, anywhere.

Maybe it’s the price of gasoline getting higher each day? Maybe I just want to be more conservative with my cash flow despite the recent bonuses and raise at work?

This brings me back to these photos. It’s been about 5 years since I’ve been to these spots. I must had driven probably more than 1000 miles on that trip – up to Canada before looping back to Yellowstone with a pit stop at Mount Rushmore. I even set a personal record of the most hours I’ve driven in a single day – 11 hours and 55 minutes from home to Lethridge, Canada.

How did I do that? I still don’t know.

Perhaps, distances are just a bunch of numbers and conquer those numbers, all one needs is the will and motivation.

  1. It definitely takes motivation to drive long hours, but the destination and the journey are worth it. Fuel prices are ridiculous. Here in WA we’re at almost $5/gallon. Two weeks from today we drive to Oregon then south to California pulling our trailer. Gas in Cal is over $6! Sigh… we’re still going because we need to see our families. Hopefully this shall pass. Hope you feel better, Yinglan, and get some rest!

    1. I heard gas rationing has begun in some places along the west coast. It’s about $4.70 here in Utah and I’m glad there’s no rationing here yet. Crossing fingers there’ll be none.
Ick, over $6, wow, I hope the price goes down soon.
