Is it me or did February just flew by?
It seemed like I wrote the post to welcome February just yesterday. Maybe I’ve just been overwhelmingly busy at work to pay attention to anything else.
Overall, I thought it was a productive month.
I took a day off from work to attend a free gardening course. I think it’s more like a workshop than a course. I’m glad the course was free because I didn’t learn anything new or maybe there’s not much to gardening other than to practice. As they say, practice makes perfect, right?
That day was also the day I began my 2023 garden indoor seed starting. I sowed seeds for mostly flowers and herbs that required 8-10 weeks before it can be transplanted outdoors. The only vegetables I sowed that day were broccoli and peppers.
As of last weekend, all have germinated, which was impressive. Since then, I also sowed lettuce and broccoli rabb and have also germinated, which also wow.
The weather in February was abysmal. Snow came every few days and even now that we’ve entered March, temperature is still feeling like that of January – daytime highs below freezing and nighttime lows in the teens and 20’s. I follow a YouTuber in Michigan and he said the other day that it was in the 40’s. Oh, how I wish it was that over here.
March is actually one of those months I’m fond of. Daylight saving brings us closer to spring. Spring equinox gives me hope that warm weather is on its way, which means I can begin planting outside, just hope my garden will thaw in time. Oh, and it’s an exciting month around here in the blogging world as the date for announcing the theme of the A-Z Challenge draws near. I am participating again this year with another interest theme.
Speaking of the blog, I hit another blogging milestone in February, beside this blog turning 10. I reached 6,000 followers. I know it’s probably nothing to sneeze at. After all, who knows how many of these people are real or just bots. It’ll probably take me about a century to go through each one and figure out who’s real and who’s not.
In my mind though, I think that’s impressive considering beside this blog, I have little to no social media presence whatsoever. I haven’t had time to visit any of the new followers’ blogs because of work, family, and life. So I’ll apologize in advance and welcome to my blog. New followers, if you’re a real person, feel free to drop a comment letting me know you’re a real person and I’ll find time to visit your blog.
I guess the next milestone on this blog will be when it reaches 400,000 all-time views.
Happy March. Congrats on 6000 followers. 😍

6,000! Coming up on nine years here, I probably have six actual followers… two-thirds of whom moved here with me when “Gather” folded. I’m sincerely impressed.
As for March, after 48-hours of blizzard, it took two hours to dig out the front of the house this morning. I had to break down some scary roof cornices before daring to get close to the front door. The back yard awaits. And I’m digging out the hot tub first… for motivation. 😉

Congrats on your 9 years!
Yikes! There was thundersnow and a blizzard a few nights ago. What an interest phenomenon! I’ve always thought thunder and lightning would be accompanied by rain, not snow. It sure woke me along with thousands of other people up at 1 AM in the morning. 😄 I’m glad I didn’t have to shovel the next morning. The snow melted within a few hours. I don’t think I can do one more snow shovel.
