Three Lines Tale: Gist of Life

Wake up, catch my ride to work, catch my ride home, dinner, sleep, repeat

This was what my daily routine before we got sent home after the March 2020 earthquake.

Now that I’m working from home, it sure makes me wonder: are commute and work the gist of an adult life?

This is a response for Sonya’s challenge, 3 Lines Tale, where we write 3 lines about the picture above.

    1. Those were my college days. Some days, it was more like 2 hours though those days certainly beats my first days at the university – 45 minutes on the bus, 30 minutes on the tram, plus 45 – 60 minutes of walking from one end of the campus to the other. Fortunately, I found a route that took less walking. Just those years made me dislike taking public transit so much. I feel like unless you’re not in a hurry and you have all the time in the world, public transit can waste a lot of time.
