Do you believe that humans have brought about climate change or is it just false news/ hoax?

When I was doing my first undergraduate degree in civil engineering, from day one, the instructors tried to drill the term “Sustainability” into our brains. I never knew what that term meant. I tried looking it up in the dictionary but the definition felt like it’s got nothing to do with engineering. As the semesters went on, it became clear that sustainability was all about the environment and the attempt to mitigate climate change.

Ashamed to say, I didn’t truly understand the term “sustainability” until I started gardening and watching all those YouTube videos on nature conservation. I think those videos and all the things people are trying to do to help made more sense to me than how the university professors tried to explain it. Either that, or I just don’t have the brain or talent of an engineer.

A similar idea was once again drilled into my brain when I did my second Bachelor degree in accounting. I was shown a video in one of my classes of the impact of climate change have on the poles and the rising of oceans. It made my anxiety level spike watching the videos – just think, all the coastal cities would be underwater if this doomsday scenario truly occurred. Unfortunately, it’s already happening, just not at the pace of an apocalyptic action movie.

To answer the question, yes, I do believe climate change is brought on by humans. I do believe my last winter was the works of climate change and I don’t believe it’ll end anytime soon.
