Are you a talker or thinker?
Are you a talker or a thinker? Does life make you wonder about its secrets?
I used to be solely a thinker but with the pandemic in the recent years and the start of partial remote work, I became somewhat of a talker due to loneliness. Primarily though, I’m a thinker, always have been. There are so many things to think about that sometimes, I feel like I’m like this tiny particle wandering in the labyrinth of my mind. Being a thinker is also annoying in its ways as these pesky little thoughts often keep me up at night – thinking, exploring, wandering, pondering…
I have never been much of a talker. Mom even made me join a public speaking club to get me to talk more because she often say my speech isn’t fluid. I even remember she once told me I was a late talker as a child. So late that she was worried if she may have a child of autism.
So I’ve never been much of a talker because I think I sound funny and I often trip over words – whether pronouncing it or the meaning of it. I also often overthink things, overthink the way I express myself and in the end, it often come out wrong, not the way I intended to come out.
Therefore, I think my thoughts are better left written instead of spoken.

Nothing wrong with being a thoughtful person! The world is full of people who jabber nonstop 😜

It’s better to talk less and listen more. We do have too many people who talk without thinking. Thanks for sharing Yinglan

I agree. While we have people who talk without thinking, we also have people who overthinks before talking.
