Friday Fictioneers: A Parent’s Dream

Please Note: this is 100% fiction!

Before we even entered the lobby, a scene begins to play in my head – my kids plopping down on the couch, exhausted, I check us into our separated rooms, and I head to the spa without a care in the world.

Unfortunately, not everything plays out so perfectly in real life, I sigh as we enter the lobby of the hotel. Immediately, everyone in the lobby stares as my girls sobs, my boys run around like lunatics, and my face turns ruby-red.

“I’m going to check us in.” I tell my husband.

“And I’ll…handle the kids.” He sighs.
