Before we even entered the lobby, a scene begins to play in my head – my kids plopping down on the couch, exhausted, I check us into our separated rooms, and I head to the spa without a care in the world.
Unfortunately, not everything plays out so perfectly in real life, I sigh as we enter the lobby of the hotel. Immediately, everyone in the lobby stares as my girls sobs, my boys run around like lunatics, and my face turns ruby-red.
“I’m going to check us in.” I tell my husband.
“And I’ll…handle the kids.” He sighs.

Yep, some holiday breaks can be stressful, until the excited kids calm down.

I was at Walmart shopping today, and passed by a mother with around 3 or 4 kids. The youngest kept crying and screaming, “I want it, I want it, I want it.” The mother looked drained. 😉

I have no doubt that mother was drained. My cousins were like that when they were young. I’m not a mother but even then, I felt irritated by that.

It’s not a vacation when one’s children are out of control. Sad.
