Here are my answers to prompts #22-25.

If you could make your pet understand one thing, what would it be?

I’m going to pretend like I have a pet because I don’t and most likely never will. Not because I don’t like pets, it’s because mom is super allergic to everything. She was complaining for months during which I was indoor-seed-starting for the garden and the year before, she was blaming my seedlings for her shingles despite one cannot get shingles from plants. This year, my indoor-seed-starting has been banished to the garage. She hasn’t complained yet but I have a feeling…

If I can make my pet understand one thing, it would be what I’m saying. Wouldn’t it be amazing if pets can understand human speech? It’ll be even more amazing if they can communicate with us in our language but then, it would be annoying because I would hear all the other pets talking while on the street. This is tough, I can’t decide…

List five things you do for fun.

• Visit scenic byways and backways. I particularly like driving on those because they aren’t your typical straight roads. These roads are full of curves, hills, and beautiful landscapes.
• Take pictures. I’m not the kind of person to just snap a dozen photos and then leave. I like to take my time, scan the view through the camera, and compose my photos. With my long zoom lens, I get to see things I can’t see with my own eyes.
• Write. Record my thoughts and I have a lot of them.
• I haven’t done this in a while but I do like to go to the library for fun. I love that it’s quiet and calming.
• Of course, I can’t leave out gardening.

Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visiting.

There’s a botanical garden I haven’t had a chance to visit and then there’s a tulip festival every April or May. I hope to at least get to one of them this year. Of course, I hope it’s the tulip festival because I’ve been wanting to see it for years but with mom around (who has shown disinterest and dislike toward plants and flowers), I haven’t had the opportunity.

What do you enjoy doing most in your leisure time?

I enjoy going on a drive during my leisure time, particularly either up the canyon or down a scenic road. I just love being on the open road and the sense of freedom that I can go anywhere.
