#WeekendCoffeeShare – Mentally Exhausted

Good morning! Welcome, please help yourself to a cup of hot or cold beverage and join me for a quick chat.

Our host, Natalie of Natalie the Explorer, is taking a break this week but that doesn’t mean I should take a break from #WeekendCoffeeShare.

This week was another difficult week for me. I’m still mentally and physically sluggish. I am either sleeping for 9+ hours and still feeling exhausted or I’m wide awake after less than 4 hours of sleep. I’m starting to feel a sense of deja vu as this is reminding me of summer of 2016, right before I was diagnosed with autoimmune disorder. Except now, I have anxiety to add on to that, which makes everything around me, especially noises, extra triggering.

I’ve made an appointment to see my general doctor on Tuesday but I’m afraid my problem might be more mental than physical.

I haven’t been able to drink coffee this week. It’s not that I don’t have time to drink it or anything. It’s more like I’ve been avoiding it. The week before, when I did drink coffee, right after I took a few sips, I felt nauseous and continued to feel nauseous for the next day or two. I feel I might be allergic to something. After all, it’s not the same coffee I used to drink. This is instant coffee mom bought home from Japan.

I picked up the asparagus seeds I ordered on Wednesday and had planned to sow those this weekend as it is advised to start them in late January, early February. It looks like it’ll have to wait as I have to once again deal with my internet provider this weekend.

After constantly having to deal with lack of phone signal while on my December road trip and the price increase of my home internet, I became determined to leave my internet provider to search for something else. Finally, I found it but I can only get this price with mom’s 55+ discount. She agreed.

Yesterday, when mom and I went to the phone store to port our numbers over, I discovered my phone was still locked even after it’s been paid off. My current mobile carrier aka my internet provider won’t unlock it and they are making me wait 2 months before my phone can be unlocked, which was not the way it was before. I don’t know what changed. Phones used to be unlocked the moment after it’s been paid off.

So now, I’m stuck with two expensive bills and today, I hope to drive down to the corporate office and give whoever’s there a piece of tired mind, just as the customers at work have been giving me all week despite doing nothing wrong. Then, hopefully, the people down there can work some kind of magic. Thankfully, the corporate office is just a 20-minute drive, unlike the 3-hour drive I had to drive on my vacation.

I appreciate you stopping by. Until next we chat. 🙂

    1. Oh no! I didn’t know that. I guess I’ll just have to deal with it when the time comes.
Why not “Japanese coffee”? I know it’s just regular coffee beans from Brazil. It only seems to affect me. My mom has been drinking it with no side effects.

      1. The coffee itself is fine. Japan imports coffee from everywhere. It’s just some of their proces induce more acidity which may be what you’re feeling. We have Cox, who sent me an email about the discount. We have one of the fastest throughput speeds and for now that costs $14 a month.
