L is for Lost.
I have felt lost more times than I can count. It isn’t that I don’t know what I want, it’s the constant worries and calculations and trying to get over each obstacles that stood in my way. Actually, I used to think I don’t want what I want but after the few weeks alone last December, I realized I’m the type of person who knows exactly what I want.
It was quite scary to find that out because it was like a subconscious thing, like my brain secretly knew and refused to tell me.
This quote describes me so well because that’s the kind of person I am – the kind who doesn’t know my own emotions – which is the reason that’s leading me to defining all the different emotions this month.

I hope so. I feel I just need a little time to explore alone.

I feel that too for you. A apartment alone nearby can be the answer

I often feel lost and have to remind myself to be patient patient – your sense of being lost sounds different, but I suspect the passing of time might still plays a part. Take care, Linda x

I think my sense of lost comes from my mom’s needing to control me and attempts to mold me into her image. It’s led me to feel lost as to who I am as an individual and not someone who’s attached to my mother’s hip.

I think sometimes that is what it is to be human. I followed in my father’s footsteps (professionally and personality-wise) and only ever ended up living in his shadow. Now as the mother of two teenage girls, are I am more aware of the fact that we are all you-nique and they need to be their own person, not a mini-me… good luck in your journey, I admire your spirit! xxx

My mom has been trying to make me into her mini-me for a long time and I have been fighting against the force but sometimes, that is exhausting. I didn’t follow her professionally nor personality-wise and I am nothing alike with the rest of the family. I guess it’s one of the reasons of why I’m lost.

I hate feeling lost because it feels purposeless and I like to live a purpose driven life. I’m visiting for the first time on the A to Z hop. I’ll be back for more of your emotions. Thanks for sharing.

I think life will be worth living if we are living with a purpose.

I hope that realizing this helps you find yourself and what you want.

It’s helping, though truly finding myself will take some time, perhaps a lifetime.

Maybe not lost – maybe the exact opposite – maybe you’re the only one who really found themselves!! I love that Oscar Wilde saying “be yourself – everyone else is taken!” You keep being you xxx

I feel you. A familiar feeling to me too. I’ve been lost to myself for years. So much has happened. Many losses, the COVID-19 pandemic, and much more… Nothing will return completely to how it was, but it’ll get better… Happy spring. It finally seems to have arrived here in Finland too!

Thank you. Happy Spring, we’re still teetering between spring and winter in the Rocky Mountain region of the US.
I agree, nothing will ever return to completely normal once something or someone is gone. Sometimes, moving forward is easier said than done but I’m sure if one ever gets past it, things will get better.

I hate it when my brain knows things but keeps it secret from me. Great quote.
