When you retire (or when you retired) do you have a picture of a small cottage with a white picket fence outside in a quiet village or something similar?

Currently, I’m torn between picturing myself touring the US in a RV and purchasing a large piece of land and claiming it my homestead. To honest, I’ve had the picture of touring the US in a RV for ages before homesteading came into the picture. Homesteading came into the picture when I began gardening purposefully and though it sounds like lots of work, I’m sure I’ll enjoy it.

What do you associate with school dinners (apart from school of course) ?

I associate school dinners with a once-in-a-lifetime high school graduation dinner. It’s when all the graduating students are gathered in the conference room of a fancy hotel. It’s basically a meal plus an award ceremony. I would never forget mine even though I did have to go alone.

Can you play a musical instrument?

I took one semester of piano in high school and the rest is practically self-taught though I haven’t played in a while. My step-dad also tried to teach me guitar but my short fingers couldn’t reach the strings.

What made you smile today?

I’m writing this post on Sunday night and even then, I don’t know what made me smile. I slept pretty much the whole weekend. I didn’t even know I’ve been so tired between trying to get garden projects done and my aunt demanding I take her out on the weekends when my mom wasn’t home. Now that my mom’s home, it seems I can finally rest. Anyway, I’ll do what made me smile this weekend. I watched a rom-com Japanese TV show, which made me laugh and smile. I don’t think I can ever laugh like that with any modern English shows.

      1. I suspect you might be right. I don’t feel much of anything in real life and I think it’s the result of living with the people I live with. I end up either crying at movies or I paint my emotions in my stories.

      2. Both crying in movies and painting them in stories are healthy ways of expressing them. You found good ways to channel them, but, of course, it’d be the best if you could get out of a situation that makes you wanna cry. 🙂 And you are brave to admit this, most people lack the capacity to be aware of their projections.

      3. I wasn’t always like this, only in the recent years when the family moved to the US. That’s not to say I didn’t struggle before, just not as bad.
