The Unicorn Challenge – The House on the Hill

For the Unicorn Challenge

“I am not looking for a house,” she told her realtor, “I am looking a plot of land on which I can build the house of my dream.”

Her realtor threw his hands up, “Just hear me out and give this place a look.”

They had been looking for plots of land across the country, driving sometimes hundreds of miles a day. The amount of land for sale was far and few in between. Hardly anyone was selling land. It’s either the younger generation needing to rid their family land as they have moved on to large cities, searching for employment and civilization or the type of land where not only nothing will grow but one cannot put a house on top of it.

After a moment of thinking, she sighed, “All right, I’m willing to look. Let’s go.”

Less than a day later, she called her realtor, “I want to put an offer on the house we saw yesterday – the house on the hill.”
