Continuing from these 6 sentences…
“What is an admission of guilt?” The Police Sergeant said as the rookie turned to him, a blank expression painted across his face, “come on, rookie.”
The rookie blinked, trying to remember what had happened, was I daydreaming, he wondered, did I imagine the entire thing – the parcel, the ka boom, the waking up in the hospital? “Um, I’m sorry,” he apologized to the sergeant, “did you say an admission of guilt?”
The Police Sergeant sighed, “Yes, rookie, admission of guilt, define it for me.”
Just as the rookie was about to ask, “isn’t that the same as a confession,” the dispatcher came on the radio, “Sergeant, what is your eta to the scene of the robbery?”
In that moment, the rookie like if his mouth could drop to the floor of this police cruiser, it would had as he thought, talk about deja vu.
Written for Six Sentence Story. The prompt is “Admission”.

Interesting twist, I hope the story continues.
