For the Unicorn Challenge…

They walked hand-in-hand along the beach. “It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” He asked. She sighed. “What’s wrong?”

“Just wish the sun would show,” she said as he furrowed his brows.

“The sun’s peeking. Look!” He pointed at the rays peeking through the clouds in the distance.

“Meh.”

Meh? He thought, is there anything in this world that she truly likes? They’ve been together for 6 months and for 6 months, he’s been trying to please her, to make everything perfect for her but it seemed like the harder he tried, the less please she is.

“Well, I think it’s beautiful,” he whipped out his phone and snapped a photo. She scoffed. “What?”

“You need an expensive camera to make those rays show up.”

“No, I think it looks pretty good.” He showed her the photo on his phone but she refused to acknowledge the beauty of the light. “What? You don’t like it?” She shrugged. “There’s no pleasing you, is there?”

It was her turn to furrow her brows. “What do you mean?”

“Everything is ‘meh’ to you, how about for once, acknowledge the moment is perfect or the light is wow or just admit that perfection doesn’t exist.” She opened her mouth as if to speak but no word came out as he walked back to the car, leaving her there on the beach.
