The Unicorn Challenge – The Tree

For the Unicorn Challenge

“There’s always something going on with the trees in this neighborhood.” Mrs. Angela said one day while on her daily walk with her best friend and next door neighbor, Mrs. Cunningham. She began pointing out the trees that had been problematic in the last few years.” That tree,” she pointed at the tree across the road, “it was covered in so many little bugs when spring came around last year that management had to get professional help. That tree,” Mrs. Angela pointed at the tree ahead, the one with a hole in its trunk, “I bet you’re wondering how this tree got this hole in its trunk.”

“Huh?” Mrs. Cunningham hasn’t been listening. She was not interesting listening in what her friend had to say since it wasn’t the first time Mrs. Angela had spoken about the trees in the neighborhood. She knew exactly why there is a hole in this tree trunk – wildlives ate the tree from the inside until the tree was holding to dear life. Instead of saying what she’s thinking, Mrs Cunningham humored Mrs Angelay “Pray, do tell.”
