If you do a google search for ZhangJiaJie, most likely, you will find this bridge popping up in your search result.
This is the famous glass bridge in ZhangJiaJie.
As you can see on the photo, I went there 8 years ago in March 2017. It misted non-stop while I was there, not to mention cold. According to Wikipedia, if you pick a day (any day) to visit this place during the year, the chance you will be seeing sunshine is 29%.
So yes, the weather is awful there.
Still, it’s not a deterrence. People flock to ZhangJiaJie, rain or sunshine. They don’t seem to care that they have to walk around in a poncho and an umbrella. When I went there, it was a nightmare because my camera was constantly pelted by the rain. I tried to wipe it but it was no use but that was 8 years ago, when I was using my aunt’s mirror-less camera. I’m sure it’s a little better with phone cameras these days.

Too bad about the weather there making photos difficult.
Yay for finishing the A to Z – I’ve enjoyed your photos and comments on what all you saw and did in these places. 🙂

Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I enjoyed yours as well. Reading about the restaurants was fascinating.

That looks like a miserable day to be on a bridge.

It was quite miserable and imagine having to descend a bunch of stairs afterwards to the next destination.

Miserable, but a nice misty, mysterious photo came from it.

I didn’t mind the gloomy skies. It’s the non-stop rain and people not watching where they’re going I don’t like.
