Are you prepared for a power cut?
Not at all!
Even though power outages are rare, I am someone who likes to be prepared. I’ve been wanting to get a solar generator and a couple of solar panels in case of emergency but I would have trouble explaining that to my mom, who keeps saying, “Solar power is still in its infant stage, it’s not reliable.” All this is because the company gifted us with a couple of cheap solar-powered power banks for our phones.
Do you prefer candles or torches when there is no electricity?
I prefer battery-powered lamps and flashlights over candles, just because I have a fear of fire. Nowadays, I try to get electronics that are also battery-powered like my personal air-conditioner and lamp, just in case…
Do you use scented candles or wax melts?
No, as I wrote, I have a fear of fire. There’s nothing wrong with fire, other than it makes my anxiety-brain go haywire with bad scenarios. Like when I see fire, bad imagery would begin popping up.
Do you find a meal by candlelight romantic?
No, I do not. In fact, I think I might go crazy trying to eat a meal by candlelight. Again, anxious brain.

I’d also prefer to eat the food which I can see clearly

Thanks for joining in and sharing your world Yinglan. I can understand about naked flames.
We keep candles and torches handy just in case.
