What kind of challenges in WordPress do you prefer?

I am a visual person. I prefer there be a photo or a picture of some kind if it’s a story prompt challenge. I love the photography challenges because it allows me to show off my pictures. I also like the Q&A formatted challenges as those allow me to reflect, though doing too many of those isn’t my preference.

If you were to host a challenge, what would it be?

It’ll probably be either a flash fiction challenge featuring a picture or a thought-based Q&A (similar to Sunday Poser).

Do you miss the ‘Awards’ posts that were very popular years ago?

No, I can’t say I miss those as they were very time-consuming blog posts to do with Q&As, lists, and looking for other bloggers to nominate.

Do you think they were a good way to grow your blog followers and get you recognized?

I think it depends on the individual’s blog. For me, I found the so-called “15 minutes of fame” from getting nominated by another blogger and doing the award not a good way to grow my blog as whatever attention I got from getting linked to another blogger’s blog is just temporary. Usually, my stats would spike for a few hours before dropping back down. It’s the news cycle on social media, I guess.
