#SundayStills: Fountains and Falls

When it comes to fountains, the fountain in the mall across from my work sprang to mind. I used to walk laps around the mall for exercise before everyone was sent home to work because of the pandemic. On warmer days, at precisely 2 PM, the fountain would dance to the tune that was playing. This fountain was designed by the same person that designed the fountain at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas. I think I took this picture at around Christmas, and I think it looks even prettier at night.

I have been to quite a few waterfalls but I will have to admit that none was more impressive than Niagara Falls. Just reading the information signs about the amount of water falling down the falls is enough to impress. I was fortunate to have gone on the Maiden of the Mist and had my camera survive without protection after having gallons of waters dump on it. It was a wonderful adventure seeing the falls up close and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

My final set of photos are honorable mentions. These falls are impressive but not as impressive as Niagara Falls. Of course, the waterfall at Yellowstone definitely deserves a mention. Unfortunately, I can only find this photo in my archive. This is for not labeling my photos!

My second photo is that of Bridal Veil Falls in Utah, about a 90-minute drive away. I hope to visit again soon to see the fall colors. I’ve seen it once and it’s absolutely beautiful.

The third photo was the first waterfall I’ve ever had to hike to reach. Unlike Bridal Veil Falls, to get to this waterfall – Waterfall Canyon Falls – requires a 1.5-mile hike to get there. The hike was nowhere near beginner friendly. It involved climbing over rocks and hopping rocks to cross streams. That was my one and only hike to that waterfall and don’t think I’ll do it again.
