Lucy’s dad has always had his favorite guitars in the corner of the living room, next to his vintage record player. He played all sorts of instruments but had always been fond of his guitars.

His favorite ladies, he would call them, and when Lucy would arch her brow, he would correct himself, “beside you, of course.” Lucy never knew her mother. She asked but her dad would never tell her, other than, “I care about you, my darling Lucy, isn’t that the most important thing in the world?”

Lucy shrugged until she decided to go search for her mother.
