“Are you still in…” Teri’s roommate, Shelley, paused mid-knock when she saw Teri sitting up in bed, her eyes stared unblinkingly at her phone screen while her thumbs alternated the scrolling motion, “what are you doing?”
“I can’t find him anywhere,” Teri said through gritted teeth, “why can’t I find him?”
Shelly sighed, walked over to the bed, and gently pried the phone from Teri’s hand, “You can’t find him because he’s a liar, Teri, he probably gave you a fake name.”
“Wait, are you the universe giving me the signal to move on or are you saying that because you don’t like him?”
“I never said such thing,” Shelley said defensively, “I just meant he’s complicated being an actor and all, you know, he’s not like a jigsaw puzzle where pieces all fit into place, no, he’s the odd piece out,” Shelley sat down on the bed and sighed, “look, I’m not saying I’m giving you a signal because as an adult, it’s up to you to decide, but if you really want to see him, you should call him, text him, and not stalk him on Facebook.”
“The thing is, I don’t want to be with this guy but at the same time, I feel attracted to him,” Teri re-told of the day she saw him at the cafe, “when I grabbed his arm, I felt a…spark, I don’t think I imagined it but I pretty much haven’t stopped thinking about him since then.”
Written for Six Sentence Story. The prompt is “Puzzle”.

Teri should move on, but then we wouldn’t have a story. Nice tale. By the way, I think he’s a spy.

Yes, she should definitely stop stalking and just call him…
Even if what he did was kind of a jerk move.

I’d cut my losses. He’s living on his ego status, and thinks he is being intriguing.

She could start an actual jigsaw puzzle, go for a walk and get a coffee. But there was that “spark”. Hard to ignore a spark. Even from a liar. Tingle.

I don’t think Teri’s going to let go. Not until she meets up with him again. In person.

Maybe treat it like a parasocial relationship: enjoy the accessible but don’t get caught up in what likely HIS complications…

He’s bad news. It’s sad when someone becomes attracted to bad news.

I hope she realizes this sooner rather than later.
