It was the second time ever that Teri had gotten off at this bus stop, the last time being on New Year’s Eve when she and Shelley attended the company’s new year eve celebration, it was also when she asked Sasha aka Adrian to go out with her, and now, she was once again walking that same block to the same house. I wonder how many people will be there, she wondered as she walked toward her destination, obviously Shelley’s not going to be there, that ditcher, there better be people, otherwise, I just wasted 5 bucks.

Standing in front of the house, Teri thought about pinching herself to make sure this was real, she was in a wealthy part of the town, with houses she could only buy in her dreams and apartments that would cost an arm and a leg just to make rent each month, and yet, one of her co-workers lives in this house. Looking up and down the street, she wondered whether everybody else took the bus like her because there were no cars parked alongside either side of the street, “Weird,” she spoke out loud as she walked up the steps to the front door.

Before her finger touched the button to the doorbell, the door flew open with Harry standing on the either side, “Teri!” he greeted her enthusiastically, “come on in. I’m so happy you made it.” Teri smiled and stepped into the house, immediately noticing that it was empty of people, “Where is everyone?”
