Today is the first snow storm of the season. I am both excited and nervous because I might be driving through some dangerous roads today. I am so jealous of my aunt and cousin right now because due to the storm, they don’t need to go to school.

Last night, I occasionally checked on the weather report, just a click on the bookmark in my browser, to make sure I won’t run into anything on my morning commute. I just checked it again and it looked like it’s already snowing at my school. Great, now I am extra nervous.

Yesterday afternoon, after my mom came home, she suddenly remembered that the tires on her car (the car I’m driving to school) need to swapped for the snow tires she’d purchased a few years ago, an new annual tradition. She scolded me to go quickly and change it.

It turned out, everyone was preparing for the storm the next day. They are either rotating their tires or swapping them like me or buying snow tires. The tire service place was so busy, I had to wait 1.5 hours just to have my tires swapped. I got it done though.

Oh, I can’t believe it. First snow of the season and my mom was just talking about how it might be late this year.
