The thing I want to do…

During my workout at the gym today, I gave my response to today’s prompt some thought and I want a redo.A female road runner runs down a road at dusk at Independence Pass.

If I am guaranteed not to fail, something I would really want to do is run. I’m not talking about marathon or even 5K. I am just talking about running, as in exercise. I know some of you are wondering, I’m not even in my mid-20’s, why am I already wishing I can run?

The thing is, I haven’t been able to run for exercise for a while now, not since my feet began hurting. I have flat feet. A few years ago, my doctor sent me to x-ray my feet to see why there’s a lump growing out of the side of my feet. It turned out, it was deformation. My feet were becoming deformed which’s why I was having so much pain standing up and walking and running.

That’s why I have to go to the gym. I have to exercise on machines that only my legs move while my feet are firmly planted at one spot. Yesterday and today, I did my exercise on a lateral workout machine (picture on the right). It’s almost the same as walking up the stairs except on my legs move, my feet stay in one place. Cool, huh?

But running is really what I want to do and if I can do that, I wouldn’t need to drive 10 minutes to the gym. I can just run laps in the park. Save me a lot of gas (for the car).

So I have exhausted my efforts this afternoon trying to make the internet better and now, I’ll just have to wait for the technician to come tomorrow. The entire afternoon, I’ve been plugging and unplugging, setting and resetting the router. This is all because I googled and read an article during lunch that taught how to use the old router as an access point of the new router to improve not only the internet speed but the area coverage as well.

I browsed three or four sites, the instructions were all the same. As I trying to do it however, I found out there’s a flaw to all the instructions. It’s missing at least one step in the process. I couldn’t guess nor did I had a clue what it was coming next. Then the whole internet went out, I couldn’t even reconnect it. My hands shook and my chest pounded. Thank god, I managed to finally reconnect it but it was way too slow.

I didn’t have a choice but to call the customer service and complain the second I got phone service (home phone’s connected to the internet). The guy helped me reset the modem and had me do the speed test again. It was even slower than before, unbelievable. That’s what I told him. He was like “what? How is that even possible?” Oh, it’s possible, alright.

Anyway, internet’s back up running now, still slow but it’s a little more tolerable than this morning. I’ve been wanting someone to come and check the internet for me because since the beginning, I’ve never gotten the speed I’ve paid for. I hope he or she can fix it for me tomorrow because I really don’t have much patience for slow internet; I don’t think anyone does.

Anyway, I just thought I’d give you an update.

Thanks for reading all my babbling. 🙂
