I did Blogging 201 in February of 2015. I didn’t really need it at the time but what the heck, I could use some advice. However, I think I am taking this course now to help me grow this blog and it will give me a chance to learn about more ways to beautify this blog.
In simplified terms, I blog because some words are better if I just let it out which it’s pretty much how I feel all the time. What I mean is, I don’t have anybody to talk to, at least anybody that understands. If I tell my mom, she will just scoff and call me immature or blame it on me for not going out to make friends. Doesn’t she knows how hard it is for someone like me to make friends? On the other hand, she is not at all observant, is she?
So I use this space to help me vent, to help me get my words out, and possibly to lighten my load even if that include my dreamy thoughts.
…and now, three goals
As I look back at the goals I set at the beginning of the year, I realize I achieved goal #1 and #3 but not goal #2. Mainly, I’ve been both busy and procrastinating. Also, it’s quite difficult for me to get some privacy. Anyway, here are my three new goals I’m hoping to achieve in the next year:
- Graduate! I am taking 5 courses next semester, then 3 in the summer, and 3 more in the fall and then I’ll be done. I just have to fight through. You can do this. Just 12 more months and you’ll be outta here.
- Add new features to the blog. Perhaps guest blogging? Or throw a party? Or create challenges that everyone can participate?
- Have more courage to leave a comment or discussion for bloggers. I am trying incredibly hard not to isolate myself from the world, as mom often says that’s what I’m doing. So leaving a comment means communication with other people even if I have never and will probably ever see that person.

Good luck. It is hard to share your thoughts and ideas with others sometimes. I know exactly how you feel.

There are times when I wish I had more solitude. My role in life keeps me constantly in the public eye so I use my blog not only to connect with others on another level but also to build quiet time into my life. When I am blogging I am away from the masses.

Thanks for sharing. I would be interested in seeing what challenges you create. You will enjoy interacting with people more if you do feel able to leave comment s or ask questions. Good luck with the rest of your classes.

Yes, I’m quite interested in what kind of challenge I will create too. Thank you for reading.

I have a blog for the same reason. I don’t have any friend who shares my passion for reading or someone who can listen to what I have to say without judging me.

Good goals – you can do it. Commenting with other bloggers is a good thing, you have friends out here in the blogger world. 🙂

I haven’t taken Blogging 201 yet but I think I might need to take 101 again before I take 201. I think it is great that you are growing your blog and learning new things to do with it.

I don’t think those two courses are connected. I think they’re two standalone courses.

Yes, they are stand alone, but it has been awhile since I took 101 so I would probably need to retake it first.
