I love this picture. When I snapped this picture last Friday on Antelope Island out on the Great Salt Lake, even before I blew it up on my laptop, I was in love with it. I kept staring at the picture in my tiny camera screen, just admiring its colors.
I just love the yellow and the blue in this picture. So harmonious. Neither color is trying to overpower the other.
I asked my mom whether I could print it out and hang it on the living room wall. She disapproved. She didn’t like the yellow color. Everything is so yellow and dead, her words, not mine.

I’ve been to Salt Lake, many years ago. But when I was there, it had rained so much, the lake was flooded and the island was underwater. I hope to go back some day.

It’s been raining less and less over the years since I’ve moved to Utah. It’s hard to imagine when there was a time when there was a lot of rain. Thank you for reading.
