Please note: This is fiction!
Do you know what is like to drown?
Your sense of calmness is gone and your fight or flight response takes over.
You begin clawing at the surface, trying to find a way out, but there’s nothing there. No hand to pull you to the surface, no rope, nothing.
After a while, you stop, exhausted at the attempt to get yourself out of this inescapable prison. That’s when you find your heart beating overtime.
You’re panicking. You try again and again. You claw and claw at the surface like a puppy clawing at the door to be let in. HELP! You want to scream but cannot.
At last, you are left with no other choice. That’s when you surrender to the darkness.
How do I know this?
Because that was me.
Oh this is so evocative and dark Yinglan. Thanks for joining in

Thanks, I don’t know where this story came from. I guess there’s a dark side inside me somewhere. 😀
