Do you find time goes faster as we age?
I don’t think the reason of time going faster is due to age. I think the speed of time is relative to what we doing to occupy it. For example, if we are busy doing something productive, time will feel like it’s flying by. On the other end of the spectrum, time will also go faster if we do nothing. I can’t answer that one other than I just know how it is.
I remember at my former job, the days felt like it was moving at the pace of a snail because I didn’t have much to do. So I mostly sat there passing the hours. I could’ve secretly blogged but one can only write so much before boredom creeps in.
On the other hand, time moves at the speed of lightning at my current job. I will be at my current job for 5 years next May, a milestone I never thought I’d reach at any job but this job, time flies at superspeed at this position. I think the difference is the amount of work to keep me occupied and busy.
So to answer the question, no, I don’t find time go faster as I age. Time is only relative to what we do to occupy the hours in our day-to-day.
Time flies when you have fun, and becomes a snail when you are bored. It seems to stand still when you are young, but picks up speed with every passing year.
