Do you consider friends an extension of your family?
I, personally, would not consider friends an extension of my family, I would consider them my family, period just because they are so much better than family.
Would you confide in a friend more than you would a family member?
Absolutely! If that friend is loyal and trustworthy, I will confide in that friend more than I would a family member because I know that friend has my back and will not snitch.
How long have you known your best friend?
Is it sad that I see my blog as my best friend? I’ve known this little blog of mine for almost a decade and so far, it’s been a very trustworthy friend as no one in my real-life reads this blog. I’ve given a few people the URL but so far, no one’s bothered to check it out. I guess it’s a good thing because I write a lot of things on here which I would never share with anyone in my inner circle.
Do you believe distance has a negative effect on friendships?
Yes! That and when the friend’s parents and my parents become friends. Both have very negative effects on friendships. It was how my real-life best friends became former real-life best friends. Our parents got together and began criticizing the thing we do for fun.

Isn’t it great? No one you know subscribes to your blog. It does lend a bit of freedom to become in some invisible way, your true you. I like that. I love my regular readers and they get to see my daily innards and so far it’s not Ivan the Terrible. 😁

Only one member of my family has read some of my blog posts. The rest know I have one but have never asked for the details. Actually, it suits me.

Exactly! I can be my true self here and not worry about anyone snitching in my real life. I used to be able to do that on Facebook, too, but mom’s friend made me add her as a friend and now I can’t. I’m just glad no one in my real life reads my blog. Phew!

Your last response is an eye opener. It hasn’t ever happened to me but I thought it would work in your favor.
