Friday Fictioneers: Meeting Him


Standing atop the cliff, she looks out to sea. In two days, she will be leaving this fantastic life of living in a seaside village and returning to her life in the city. She sighs, trying not to think about daily grind of her work. She just wishes she can stay here forever but there’s nothing to tie her here, no one…

“Um, Miss?” A voice from behind jolts her from her thoughts. She turns around and instantaneously, her breath is caught in her throat. “I hope you weren’t thinking of jumping because that’d be tragic seeing that you’re beautiful.”
