#Bloganuary 2023 Prompt Day 13 and 14

Day 13 of Bloganuary asked the question, “If you had a Billion US dollars, how would you spend it?

I probably won’t even be able to spend it in my lifetime. If I don’t, I would most likely donate whatever’s left to Earth conservation non-profit organization because I am that passionate about leaving the planet in a better way than when I found it.

If I have a Billion dollars, I would first pay off my debts – house debts, car debts, student loans, life debts. Most likely all would go to my mom because she paid off all those things. Next, I would sell my house to most likely my mom because I would never give away something I worked so hard to pay it off for free.

After getting rid of the house, I would buy a truck and a trailer, thus starting my nomadic life. I’d probably still have a mini-garden in the trailer with grow bags strategically placed so I can grow my own veggies.

If I don’t choose the nomadic life, I would still get rid of my current home and then get a plot of land that’s off the grid. There, I would build one of those homes that’s net-zero in energy consumption and have the garden of my dreams. Then I would invest the rest in high-yield investments until I’m no longer around.

Day 14 of Bloganuary asked the question, “What is your preferred mode of travel?

I wrote about this about a month ago for Truthful Tuesday and my answer has not changed. My preferred mode of travel is still by car unless I’m heading across the ocean, then I would have no choice and to choose to fly.

I hate flying, not because I hate planes, but because I hate going through customs and TSA. I dislike having to take off my shoes, take my laptop out of my backpack, take my jacket off, and my belt off all the while trying to be as quick as I can without slowing down the line. As a person with anxiety and strong empathy, the process can be overwhelming and sometimes, I even find myself wanting to cry.

I prefer traveling by car because I don’t have to worry about things not fitting in the suitcase. I can pack whatever I want as long as it fits in the car, which isn’t as confined as a suitcase. There’s also the freedom of having an unlimited amount of destination when traveling by car verses an airplane which the destination is confined to an airport.

You may have noticed I haven’t mentioned boats. That’s because I don’t even think about boats. I cannot do rocking on the water. I just can’t. I found myself getting woozy after a 5-minute ferry ride. So no thank you on any water transportation.

  1. If we had all this money we wouldn’t travel for sure. We would make our house even nicer and our grounds as well. We would have a library building erected with a huge library and especially illuminated manuscripts we would collect und study.
    Keep well
