When she gave her niece – the gifted musician – her treasured violin, she had fully expected her niece to embrace classical music like she did. Instead, her niece modified the instrument, and began strumming it and plucking it like a mandolin or a guitar. “No no, that’s not how you play it.” She chided.
“It’s how people play it in country music.”
Today, she has come to see her niece perform to a sold-out crowd of more than a thousand people. She watched her perform the tracks on her debut album and had never been more proud than in that moment.

Fun story. I do prefer the fiddle playing of country and folk musicians to the caterwauling of he classical (just kidding). Nicely done.

I would say it depends on the song because a fiddle can sound like a pig being slaughtered and that’s not a good sound. Thank you for reading.
