Do you harbor a grudge or forgive and forget? Do you forgive a wrong done to you?
How long it takes you to do the wise thing? Or do you harbor a grudge, planning your revenge in time to come?
I previously wrote a post to a similar question for a Truthful Tuesday prompt, in which I wrote:
I think we all hold grudges one way or other. There’s no point in denying it. Holding grudges are just a part of human nature. It just depends on how big or small the grudge is. For the most part, I try to forgive and forget but as I wrote in this post, some things in life, however, are harder not to hold a grudge than others, especially those that involves trauma.

In the past, I would have said it depends on the deed but recently, after developing a sense of resignation toward life, I would now say, “que sera sera (whatever will be, will be).” I find no sense in holding onto something I can never change. Holding a grudge is not healthy for the mind and body and living with someone like my mom, holding a grudge will just bring more burden than good upon myself.
Planning revenge is a futile endeavor, in my opinion, unless it’s revenge for murder. Even then, I feel like it’s a waste of time. Let fate have its way. After all, I believe in karma and man, oh, man, can it be a bitch.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Yinglan. Yes I agree that holding grudges only harms us, not the other person. It’s better to let go.
