Please Note: 100% fiction!
“Whoa, Grandma, that’s so neat. How did you make the watering can stand up like that?” She pointed at the water can on the fence. It’s swinging at an angle as water streamed down to the plants below.
Her grandma chuckled and patted her on the head. Then she reached into her mouth and pulled out the large wad of bubblegum she’s been chewing. She walked over to the swinging watering can and stuck the gum between the can and the fence, securing it in place. “My dear, there’s nothing in this world which a wad of bubblegum can’t fix.”
(100 words)

Well, that’s one good way to use bubble gum!

Haha. I like this grandma. And I’m chuckling at your introductory disclaimer. Now why would any think it’s not fictional???

Oh, there are some people out there… I put that there to avoid weird comments. Haha.

Wise.. Weird comments are not good. And I just noticed my typo in my comment. I meant to say ‘anyone’ not just ‘any’. Of course you got my meaning, but I can’t bear to let mistakes go uncorrected. 🙂

Reminds me of the old song about sticking our gum on the bedpost overnight.

Haha, I’ve seen kids do that in movies.

Oh, that’s great. I imagine bubble gum to be a very useful adhesive. Clever!!

I think bubblegum is a great adhesive, at least when it comes to school desks and shoes. 😀
