“I can’t sleep in that.” Sandy says.
Greg had planned the trip with Sandy months ago after their supervisors urged the workaholics to take time off work. “Book a room, head for the spa, doing something but work, I beg you.”
Sandy pinched her face at the seemingly expensive words. “Fine, I’ll take time off” she said, appeasing her boss.
Greg sighs. “What do you want to do? Head back?” He gazed toward the sky. “I don’t think there’s time. Come on, Sandy, it’s just one night. How bad could it be sleeping on wet ground if there’s a tent?”

Ah well, sleeping on wet ground! They’ll find out soon enough how uncomfortable that is. Maybe a friendship might falter.

I don’t know, they might even grow closer to each other.

Depends on how well that tent is water-proofed.

No tent is going to help them if they sleep in that mud.

I agree. No matter what, I’d imagine it’ll be like sleeping in a pool of dirty water.

If I were Sandy I would have organised the adventure and she and Greg would be living it up in a 5 star hotel with beautiful views from the windows 😂 Enjoyed reading your piece.

Well, if Greg had planned the getaway with her, then she would’ve agreed to what they’ve planned to do. I don’t think it would’ve differed if she was the one planning the trip.

Sometimes it doesn’t pay to penny-pinch. At least she has a companion with a positive outlook, but I fear they’re in for an uncomfortable night.

I agree. I feel like she could’ve stayed home and made it a staycation and it would’ve been better than camping in the woods.

Oh yuck, I think I’d rather work than sleep on wet ground in a tent. Who knows, maybe it’ll create a memory for years to come. A nice slice of life, Yinglan!

Oh no! I would have opted for the spa!

I would’ve probably opted for that, too. Anything is better than sleeping on wet ground.
