P is for Paranoid.
I often wonder if I’m paranoid or I really have anxiety because my brain often likes to play out bad scenarios to stress me out. I have heard stories of people with anxiety with the brain doing similar things and in some case, it makes the person become fearful to face the world.
I did some research to find out the difference between paranoia and anxiety, the website, Healthline, listed some of symptoms for each:
- Paranoia
- Mistrust of others
- Feeling disbelieved or misunderstood
- Constant stress due to the belief of others
- Anxiety
- Restlessness
- Fast Breathing
- Increased Heart Rate
I think I’ve come full circle with this letter. I feel paranoid because of my high-functioning anxiety and vice versa. Also, being an empath doesn’t help because although I can feel what others are feeling, it doesn’t stop the paranoia and speculation of whether or not I’m being liked.

Interesting post, I think my anxiety might sometimes cross over into paranoia 🤔

I, too, have diagnosed anxiety disorders, and being paranoid is a fear in and of itself!

Yeah, my anxiety is sometimes so bad, I’m sure the people in the store are looking at me funny… Fine line between anxiety and paranoia. Love the quote!
