I began this tradition on this blog years ago where I would list 5 things I’m thankful for during that particular year. I’ve been looking forward to the break over Thanksgiving that I completely forgot it’s the time of the year to give thanks. I wish my blogging friends in the US a Happy Thanksgiving and even if you’re in an area in the world where you don’t observe Thanksgiving, there’s always time to give thanks, even to the little things in life.

I first like to thank all those who regularly reads my blog and comments on it. It’s great to have found a community of like-minded people. Even after over a decade, I’m still surprised by the number of visits on a daily basis. Your views and comments are what keep me to write on, so thank you.

Of course, I must give the garden thanks for this year’s great harvests. Despite all the challenges I’ve faced this year, because of the harvests, I’m looking forward to next year.

My third thank goes to my co-workers who makes going into the office every week worth it. They make the workspace so much more livelier than at home. They are what makes work less work.

I would also like to thank my camera. I can feel my creativity spark and anxiety subside each time when I look through the lens. Particularly the super-zoom lens, it allows me to see so much that my eyes can never see. Of course, snapping the photos are only half the fun, the creativity continues in photo editing, which sometimes can be tedious while sometimes can be fun.

My 5th and final thank for 2024 goes to the place I live. I don’t mean the house. I mean the nature of it. I’m thankful to be living in a place where I’m so close to nature. I can just drive 15 minutes to reach the mountain or an hour for an epic waterfall. I’m thankful I got to visit many of those beautiful places in 2024 and looking forward to visiting more of them in 2025.
