If you could be a flower or a plant, what would you be and why?
I would be lavender. I love lavender. I just bought a 4-pack transplant of dwarf Munstead Lavender last week and have already planted those in the garden. I love the scent and the fact that the plant is not fussy about soil and water.
Do you believe in magic?
Of course, not the man-made kind though. The man-made kind is called “deception”, not magic. I have been working hard on a garden project the last week or so – removing the mulch and putting in some new perennials. The soil is so hard that it broke my garden hoe, yet plants still survive, if that’s not the magic and resilience of nature, I don’t know what is.
Do you believe in Karma?
Yes, I do. I wrote a post about karma a short while ago. I believe in karma very much and am always careful to think about the potential consequences of my actions before I commit the action.
Do you live in a community spirited neighborhood?
I wish I do but, unfortunately, I do not. I barely know my neighbors and if the neighbor knows someone from my house, it would be my mom. She tends to make it a point to tell the neighbors that she’s the master of the house. I like to think the neighborhood used to be spirited because I’ve been to a few neighborhood potluck parties before the pandemic but then the pandemic came and everyone seemed to have retreated to the comfort of their own home.
