Lots of random snapshots in this gallery featuring some of my favorite views from a bridge. I will begin in the top left and work my way down counter-clockwise. I hope you enjoy this gallery and have a happy hump day.
- View of the Colorado River from the Navajo Bridge (aka Highway 89 A) in Arizona
- View of the Provo River on a bridge near the Bridal Veil Fall
- Partial view of Lake Powell (located on the border of Utah and Arizona) from the bridge next to the Glen Canyon Dam visitor center
- Lucky shot when the bus I was riding stopped on a bridge. This is somewhere between Kumamoto and Aso. My mom and I were heading to Aso-Kuju National Park in Japan.
- The next two shots were taken on different sides of the same bridge. These views are that of the Delaware River. The same Delaware River George Washington and his troops crossed on that fateful Christmas night in 1776. This is the bridge near Washington Crossing State Park in New Jersey.
- This is the view from a pedestrian bridge near Millenium Park in Chicago looking down at a near empty road.
- Finally, I took this photo standing on a concrete bridge. This is the city of Phoenix in the Hunan province in China. It’s a lovely place to visit. The only thing I didn’t like was the weather.
These are all great photos but that one you got when the bus stopped on the bridge really caught my attention. The different colors in the far land mass (is it a rock formation? or a red soil?) layered against the closer shore with the beautiful reflective water in the middle — so pretty!

Thank you. I’m pretty sure the bus stopped on the bridge because of a traffic light ahead but I was seated too far back to see. Pretty much everywhere in Southern Utah and northern Arizona is reddish orange. If you ever visit the Grand Canyon, you will see why. The landscape in this area is quite stunning and contrasting from the rest of the country.

Ah, Utah is one of the areas I haven’t seen. Somehow I’ve made it to my fifties without visiting the Grand Canyon either! I’ll have to add these to my “someday” list.

Utah, especially southern Utah, is an absolutely must-visit place. I live 4 hours away and every time I go there, I feel like I’m discovering something new.
