Second Win

So I had my second win of the week yesterday.

I had spent the afternoon working on my second job at the cellphone repair shop while mom went to the rental house to repair the gutter. Working was my excuse so I didn’t have to do the dirty repair job. It rained on Tuesday and she said she drove by and it looked like a waterfall pouring down the roof. So she had her stuff while I had mine.

On Friday, I convinced my boss to set up a bank feed through Quickbooks, so it’ll help me to manage the business better. Well, it turned out I goofed up on a few of the transactions, about 240 transactions (yikes!). I spent about 2 or 3 hours that day reconciling the balances of the transactions and didn’t finish until yesterday afternoon.

I still wasn’t satisfy with my results because the total ending result was off by a lot. So I began again from November, deleted all my goofy entries and used the general journal to record those entries instead. After two hours, I finally got the November 2014 statement match and that was my second win of the week because when it comes to matching up numbers, it’s never in my favor.

If you haven’t read my reflection from two days ago, my first win was I aced my business law quiz.

I was super duper happy as I walked home and practicing being mindful, I began to snap pictures.

There is a storage facility behind the place I work and when there is a storage facility, there are Uhaul trucks. I laughed at this picture because looking at it, I can think of a dozen stories to tell.

After taking the picture, I turned to the west and it was, I think, the first time I noticed the sunset. Seriously, because I’ve always been at home during this hour, I don’t get to see sunset.

It was a perfect opportunity since I’ve shot plenty of sunrise pictures but never sunset. I pointed the camera at the sun and zoomed. Just as I was about to hit the shutter button, I remembered that I have a setting to shoot sunset pictures.

Quickly, I switched it and this was my result.

I will admit, it’s not as nice as some of yours with your cool expensive DSLR cameras but no matter, I think it’s pretty nice.

The Feature Image is one I shot when I got farther away and yes, I see the spaceship is preparing to land and take over the human race. 😀

  1. Great results and well done for sticking in there to correct a few mistakes. Don’t worry…they won’t be your last in life…that’s what keeps it interesting and to learn from our mistakes. I think it’s a sunset picture to be proud of 🙂

  2. Great photos – I have three cameras a fancy DSLR, a FUJI digital camera, and an iPhone – they all take great photos and I use them interchangeably on the blog. But, I’ll have to admit the iPhone is the most convenient. congrats on your second win.

    1. I think my Fuji camera takes great pictures but sometimes, it likes to be rebellious while sometimes, I do wish I have a phone to take pictures, that way, I don’t have to spend the time to plug the SD card into the computer.
Thank you, the second win was great especially in a bad week.

  3. beautiful DSLRs be just that without the creativity of the photographer. What you have managed with your camera is something I can’t do with my bulky, dusty DSLR and my pathetic artistic sense. Lovely photo of the sunset. I think you should definitely post in for some Daily Post’s Photo Challenge. 🙂
    Thanks for the follow 🙂

    1. Thank you. I didn’t take this with a DSLR, by the way. I wish I have one but this was just a regular old point-and-shoot camera which I shot the picture, I was incredibly surprised by how it turned out.

I think I’ve already posted this to the photo challenge, if I’m not mistaken. Thank you for reading.
