My upper body is super sore. Merry Christmas Eve, though.
Anyway, I don’t want to sound selfish and ungrateful but the semester has ended a week ago and to this day, I still feel as though I haven’t had a break yet. I spent Monday working on my Translation job, Tuesday at my other job. Yesterday morning, I spent two hours shoveling snow and the afternoon baking and helping mom. Meanwhile, I just spent three hours this morning fixing the elastics on my pants. My fingers and biceps are very numb and sore.
Anyway, remember when I posted pictures of snow last week? Well the upside of snow is that it’s white, fluffy, and beautiful to watch.
Here’s the downside, when you have to shovel a foot of snow off of your driveway or trudge through ankle snow to get to work.
Here are some of the pictures I took Tuesday on my way to work. It snowed all day on Tuesday.

I thought mom would have cleaned up the sidewalk by the time I got off work but it turned out, she was waiting for the snow to stop. Well, it didn’t stop until the next morning. Before the real pain began, mom requested I took a few pictures of her so she could send to our relatives and for some reason, she didn’t like action shots. She just liked to pose with a shovel. It was very weird.
She took a few of me pushing the snow too.
About half-way through, the clouds finally departed and the blue sky took over. I like how the clouds look like they’re moving fast in the picture.

Quickly, I pulled off my gloves, snapped the picture, pulled them on again, and went back to work. And then, I hit a snag.

Melted snow turned to water and sludge before the temperature dipped and froze it again. I call it dirty snow. It is a very yucky type of snow.
These were large ice chunks stuck in the space between the driveway and the asphalt road. I ended up to have to use my hands to dig through and pull the ice out which I dumped onto that mountain of snow you see in the second picture. Each time I dumped a chunk on there, I have to cross my fingers to hope that the ice wouldn’t roll back down and make a mess.
Don’t worry, nothing of the sort happened.
I grew tired shoveling ice chunks so I went to shovel the sidewalk.

As I rounded the corner, I saw my footprints from the previous night was still there, faint, but still there.
I went through the first round of shoveling the sidewalk while mom soon came along behind me to do the second. While I shoveled the sidewalk, I marveled the deep blue sky and before I knew, the sun has finally come out. Everything was shimmering and so bright that I had to shield my eyes as I returned to the garage.
The moment the sun came out, almost everything began melting. I had to capture everything as it was in that exact moment. So I grabbed the camera.

Anyway, this has been my effort of completing this week’s photo challenge. I hope you’ve enjoyed looking at my mountains of snow.
I am going to yet another Christmas Party tonight. It’ll be my forth this year. A neighbor invited us to dinner last night. I’m not sure what to call that so I will put that in my books as a Christmas Party.

Here is a picture of today. Mom took it so I can’t take credit for it.
Thank you everyone for reading and Merry Christmas.

Yes it is. This is my first time this year to clean up, last time, my mom did it for me. We don’t usually have to since our house faces south, the driveway and sidewalk usually melt by itself but apparently there was too much that it couldn’t do that. I hate when that happens. Anyway, thank you for reading and Merry Christmas!

Snow really is beautiful as long as you can stay warm and not have to drive on it. LOL! Great photos! Merry Christmas!

🙂 Wow! So much snow! We haven’t had snow for Christmas in ages.
But I remember how much hard work it was to shovel the driveway etc…. No wonder your arms are sore.
Merry Christmas 🙂

It sure was a lot of snow. It feels like the rest of the world’s snow have been dumped here this year instead of where they belong. Merry Christmas.

Looks like a winter wonderland! We are in the midst of a blizzard warning…it is terrible out there, and very unusual for here!
