Have you ever owned a rock, pet rock, or gem that is not jewelry?
Does chocolate rocks count? The last time I went back to China, somewhere along the way, my step-dad bought a bag of what looked like tiny pebbles and as we walked along the streets, he was popping them in his mouth. “Why are you eating rocks?” I asked. He laughed and let me try one. Hesitantly, I did and it was delicious. He gave the bag to me for safe keeping and to keep him from eating too much. Through the trip, I rarely ate them and when I did, I savored it; popped one into my mouth and let it melt. So I guess that’s one scenario where I own some rocks that aren’t jewelry.
What is your greatest strength or weakness?
My strength would be my creativity and imagination. My weakness – this is hard to decide, I have so many weaknesses – is either lack of confidence or procrastination.
What makes you feel grounded?
Meditation and placing my feet firm on the ground always grounds me.
Would you rather never be able to eat warm food or never be able to eat cold food?
That’s easy, never be able to eat cold food. There are so much hot (not warm) food to try around the world and besides, my stomach isn’t really up for cold food these days.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I am grateful to discover I don’t have lupus or any other weird types of autoimmune diseases. Whew! After extensive testing, my prognosis turned out to be Hashimoto Thyroiditis. It’s a type of thyroid inflammation and an autoimmune disease. Now, that’s something that can happen to someone like me. I was so relieved because it’s something I’ve dealt with before.
Now, we just have to cross our fingers and hope the cream and the antibiotics clears my rash in the next two weeks. So far, I’m not seeing a difference.
As for the week coming up, I guess I’m looking forward to my lunar birthday this weekend and real birthday next weekend? (The perk of being born in a country that still uses the lunar calendar). I don’t know what’s there to look forward to though.

That’s good news about the results of all that testing. I’m assuming the treatment for your ailment is fairly uncomplicated. Hope so, anyway. …Oh, chocolate rocks sound so good! 🙂

The doctor will probably give me more pills to treat Hashimoto. Oh yeah, the chocolate rocks were so good. 🙂

Yeah glad you have solved some medical issues. They can give you synthasoid for that? I think it’s called 🙂 Happy for you the cream is working, probably due to your thyroid! Be well. I love those rock chocolates very cool,

I’ve been taking synthroid for past year and a half. I wonder why my thyroid decided to switch on me. I was diagnosed with Graves disease (another thyroid disease) like 5 years ago. Google said it likes to jump around from Graves to Hashimoto.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I hope you get to celebrate! I am so glad that you didn’t have anything serious and I hope the medication clears up your rash. I am amazed those pebbles are actually chocolate candy!
