This is my first time participating in Truthful Tuesday, hosted by Thoughts and Theories. I find this question quite interesting:

Regardless of the media, when it comes to stories, do you prefer those that are perfectly sequential in their writing, such as the seven original Harry Potter books or Frank Herbert’s Dune series, or do you find stories that skip around in the timeline, such as the nine central Star Wars films to be more entertaining?
If it’s a book, then it doesn’t really matter to me though I would prefer the timeline of the story to not be jumping around. I don’t know why but I can usually keep up with a story better when I’m reading than with any other medium.
I recently listened to a full-cast production on Audible and found myself having trouble keeping up with the story because each chapter of the story was from a different timeline. Argh! I felt like I was going crazy at times trying to figure out what the heck was going on but at the end of the day, a story is just a story. No big deal.
For movies and TV shows, I also have no problem with the skip around in the timeline. Strangely, I can keep up with the story and sometimes, I find those kind of stories even more interesting.
Often chronology isn’t as important as some other detail. It depends upon the circumstances~
