Good morning or afternoon, I don’t know about you but I’m thinking of having something cool and refreshing. Ooh I know, some almond milk?
This has been another week of hustling and bustling as I try to finish all my July tasks at work. After a firm push by the voice at the back of my head and an 11-hour workday, I got it done.
As I mentioned in last week’s post, I went to an oral surgeon to get an evaluation on my oral surgery.
Did I tell you I have a knack of reading people?
The moment the oral surgeon, I could see he’s a nice person, unlike the one I visited the last time I had to have oral surgery. We shook hands, he sat down and examined the panoramic X-ray my orthodontist sent over.
One look at the panoramic X-ray, the oral surgeon decided my case should be treated as a medical case, not a dental one, that I will need to have it done in a hospital, under sedation. You wouldn’t believe how thankful I was to hear that. Medical insurance will cover a lot more cost than dental insurance. Best of all, his office will help me present my case to the health insurance company.
I remember the last time I had to deal with the insurance company, it didn’t turn out so great. If it turned out okay, I wouldn’t have to go through the same thing now.
The oral surgeon also told me he might even be able to save my impacted teeth, that instead of pulling them out, he would pull them down. I do hope those teeth are salvageable. This would save me the trouble and money to get implants or dentures later.
In another news, my cucumbers are finally producing and they are growing like crazy. I have had to remove a large amount of leaves each week and then less than a week later, all the leaves have grown back, even with a vengeance. I harvested a small pickling cucumber so far and there are around 5 or 6 that should be ready in the upcoming days. I wonder how many it will take to fill a 16-ounce mason jar?
I must rush along now. I have a photo shoot this morning – my first photo shoot. It will be for a landscape shot of the church. I hope it will turn out alright and hope the ridiculously smoky and hazy sky clears up just for a moment. I would thank you for joining me in this edition of #weekendcoffeeshare and hope we’ll both return next week.

This is great news about your teeth being covered by medical insurance, instead of dental. Wonderful! I hope the photo shoot went well. Sometimes smoky skies can turn out beautiful, if there is some light. Best of luck with everything.

Now, I just hope and cross my fingers the oral surgeon will be able to work it out with my insurance, even though he did say he will handle the paperwork.
The photo shoot went well. I was a little nervous because of the hazy sky. I took a picture on a hike last year and the sky turned out completely orange due to the haze. Thankfully, the haze cleared up just enough today to have the blue sky show up in the photos.

Ugh – dental work and insurance fuss. You night want to add a bathroom remodel because all taken together, you really won’t feel the difference. I do hope it all goes well YingLan

A bathroom remodel? How about a landscape remodel? Which, like almost everything else, I have to do myself because I can’t count on anyone else. I hope it goes well too. 🙂

Haha, unfortunately, I still leave this kind of thing to the professionals. 😀
