
Sandy pinched off a small piece of mushroom and was about to put it in her mouth. “What are you doing?” Brenda hissed, “Didn’t you read the sign?”
Do NOT pick mushrooms! Though mushrooms are edible, chemical have been sprayed for research purposes.
They were at the local botanical garden, which also served as a research center for the university.
Sandy shrugged, “So, that just means herbicide.”
“No,” Brenda said, “it means so much more.” She began listing off very pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, etc. until Sandy waved her off.
“Fine, fine,” she said, tossing the mushroom on the ground, “Happy?”
