Today’s prompt asks: You’ve been granted the power to predict the future! The catch — each time you use your power, it costs you one day (as in, you’ll live one day less). How would you use this power, it at all?
The first glance at this prompt, I knew something was fishy. I thought this was familiar, almost too familiar. I had the same hunch about a few other prompts but it turned out they weren’t the same, they were just worded differently. This one though, this one’s definitely familiar. I scrolled down the grid, oh look, there I am, written last September. My first repeat prompt, so soon.
I’m sure I’m going to encounter those sooner or later but I haven’t expected it so soon. Less than a year? And now, I know how it feels to encounter such prompt.
That’s I felt looking at this prompt. There’s nothing more to say other than…
After 10 months since doing this prompt, my answer has not changed. I will not use the power at all. Nope, not at all. I like to see the future play out one day at a time because if I saw the future, there’s a
strong definite possibility I will try to change it and it’s possible that might makes everything worse just like every time I or anyone try to meddle. So there, that’s my answer. I will keep my days, use them for something useful.
