From Frozen to Sweating

eaf2ed37660e2ed483f4b7ead81cef1cAs much as I love my basement bedroom, I spent most of the morning moving back to my old room on the top floor. The frozen climate in the basement was getting a little too unbearable for me. I don’t want to spend everyday hugging a hot water bag, shaking and clattering my teeth even with a portable heater less than three feet away.

The move from the basement was like moving from Alaska to the Caribbeans. I was instantly sweating from the heat. At first, the heat was unbearable. I felt like I was on fire. Has it always been this hot upstairs? Anyway,I spent the morning walking around without a jacket and it felt great. I wonder why I stayed in that frozen tundra called a basement?

Oh yeah, my classes were driving me crazy that I couldn’t find the time to make the move.

One down side of being back in my old room is my privacy level has just went from three flights of stairs to just across the hall. Not to mention I have to keep my music volume to the down low. But I guess if I can finally be warm, that’s all it matters. I also hope that I will be able to renew my inspiration now that I’m no longer feeling cold all the time.

Well, guess it’s time for me to get back to work. I want to be able to write a story for this Christmas. I’m thinking of a modern re-told of the Christmas Classic, A Christmas Carol. We’ll see.

      1. Though admittedly I am being somewhat lazy in that one I am adapting from a comic strip I read in the mid-90s and the other two have characters I invented ages ago
