
His paddle-board is all he had left. His house, car, and belongings, all gone when the 40-foot tsunami-wave came. He somehow survived by holding onto the paddle-board.
“We are not leaving you,” His wife, Julianna’s words rang in his mind. The last time he’d seen her and his children was when he’d forced her into the car.
“Go,” He urged, “I’ll find you when this is over.”
Sighing, he paddled up river, feeling grim as men piled bodies on the shore. He hopes his family isn’t among them.
“Steve?” A familiar voice shouts. He squints and there she is, Julianna.
