#SundayStills: Animals and #Fences

As I sit here in my cold bedroom writing this post, I realized, I haven’t explored anywhere new in Utah this year. Usually, I would usually go to at least one place I either never been or haven’t been in a while each year.

CWWC: Signs in Japan

I don’t think I’ve ever had any difficulty following signs. I’ve always loved signs. They are the most tool to point me to where I need to go. During the first few days of my recent trip to Japan, I found the signs very confusing. It often either led me to a longer route or in circles.

Nature Photo Challenge #30 – Moon

It’s ashamed I didn’t get any photo of the moon in Japan. I’m not sure it would’ve been easy with all the tall buildings and city lights. So here are some of my old moon photos.

Japan Reflection

Here I am, writing this post on a Shinkansen speeding across Japan bound for Shinagawa before transferring to another line for Haneda Airport. We left Osaka at 8:30 this morning and will be home in approximately 27 hours.

#SundayStills: #Bridges

I love to look at any city from a high vantage point because it always amazes me to see how dense the city really. This is a look at Osaka, Japan from the Umeda Sky Building – a 140-m building in the heart of Osaka. Looking at the bridges, I was frankly surprised by how different they are.

Japan Day 9

Despite stumbling out of bed this morning with a numbing pain in my right lower leg and a stabbing pain in my back, I found today to be one of the more interesting and pleasant days of the trip.

Japan Day 8

I have opted to take the night off. I really hope my decision is honored as a majority of my decisions haven’t been honored on this trip.

Japan Day 6

I was woken up by a strange dream this morning. I dreamed I was in a co-worker’s home, which is strange as I have never been to any of my co-workers’ homes before. I was probably muttering in my sleep because I found myself waking up saying “I was from Canton,” and my mom asking me what I was saying.

Japan Day 5

It’s Day 5 and we have arrived at Fujikawaguchiko, a resort town near the foot of Mount Fuji, after a 2-hour bus ride. I’m so glad it’s not as hot and humid here, compared to Tokyo. In hindsight, I feel I missed quite a bit of sightseeing in Tokyo because of the heat, exhaustion, and pain but I guess this would give me a reason to visit again.

Japan Day 1

After 24 hours in transit – a train ride to the airport and 3 plane changes later, I finally arrived in the land of the Rising Sun. I can’t say the flight was at all comfortable and I can’t say I liked the part where I am waiting at airports with inconsistent internet speed but I’m glad to the transit is at least temporarily over.
