Photo of the Day!

The best travel experience I’ve had 2018 was definitely my solo trip to Capitol Reef National Park in September. Of course, the trip was awesome. It made me realize the freedom of solo travel. I didn’t have to sleep and wake on schedule. I could choose what to eat and where to dine. And I could stop at any turnout and any hiking trail. Continue reading “Photo of the Day!”

Tuesday Photo Challenge – Anticipation
There were plenty of anticipation in 2018

From heading to China to visiting Bryce Canyon

to hiking Sardine Peak
to seeing a brilliant sunset on Antelope Island

to take a solo trip to Capitol Reef (despite everyone was advising against it)
and to patiently anticipating my next hike in 2019.

Catching people unaware – Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge
One way for a landscape photographer to catch people unaware: aim the camera higher than the height the people are standing or you can do what I do – go to a crowded place (like the City of Phoenix in China) and I can guarantee you can catch someone unaware.

…and we are into May. Yay! Continue reading “Photo of the Day!”

Lens-Artists Photo Challenge: Splash

I absolutely love water photography and take every chance I can get to photograph it. This picture is from my most recent trip to Bear Lake. It was my second time to visit this beautiful lake. My first time was in September. This time, I came with my mom and her friends. I was once again the navigator.
There we were standing on the beach and just as I was about to take some pictures of the water since I didn’t get many great pictures the first time, our friends decided to skip stones. He’s quite good at this.

This is his son’s attempt. His son basically picked up a big ol’ rock and threw it into the water. The rock landed with a loud plop.
